Hoping so, Denmark's best chance would be a German win, and a more relaxed, conservative/substituted side on Sunday. . Holland can technically still go through on Sunday, even with a loss tonight, so they'll be playing to beat Portugal.

So gutted... but 2-2 would have been very fortunate given our start to the second half, and how easily we lost the ball on occasions.

    Bendtner wasn't offside.
Coentrao was indeed last man, but he was rather far away.

Should have been a red in my opinion

Unfortunately this part is true. Van der Wiel sucks, Mathijsen might not be 100% fit and I have never understood what Van Marwijk sees in Heitinga.
There is just an overall lack of defensive talent in the Netherlands.
Jetro Willems has done okay, especially for such a young, inexperienced fellow.

It will also be very warm in Charkov. We'll see if that plays any role.

You don't get 40+ goals by being horrendous. Yea, he's style is different, but he's effective in his own right.

Let's hope Van Persie won't be a drunk giraffe tonight again, hope he and Robben for once actually score.

No they cant... if they lose and even beat the Portugeuse on the last day, they'll only have 3 points and since they lost to the Danes, they'd be out even if the Danes lose to the Germans.

They need at least a draw to have a chance.

You need this win, Mr. "Best Friends".

This is your TRUE test. Failure to produce anything but a victory will result in your team being driven out of Poland on a horse carriage and induce my mockery of you.

Also, these pictures depict what I believe will happen:

    Gomez will score.

What worries me is that the Germans dont have anybody who can shoot from the distance. Also Schweini and Özil seem tired and slow.

Their D is suspect at times too, so I think they'll need to score at least twice to win.

He's horrible in about 99% of the his time on the pitch. That last 1% is enough it seems

Bench Robben, Affelay and RVP on the wings with Huntelaar as striker.

I'll just keep dreaming in my corner now

Ah yes, sorry, forgot it was done on that basis, was thinking it was on goal difference.

Germany will come to this match relaxed like a pony after their little win over Portugal. Ever seen a pony walking around? It never runs, never tries to push itself. This will what you see on the field tonight, 11 German ponies walking around eating grass.

Enjoy our spit on your neck, Germany.

    Dutch pride worldwide.

Nani has constantly out performed Cr7 in national team. He's doing so again in this tournament.

That is what pains me the most, but as I said earlier, Huntelaar is a true deep striker.
In order for him to be effective you need true wingers.
Robben will always come inside to get away from his weaker foot and that is when he isn't making runs for his own glory.
Van Persie is more creative and rotate positions better than Huntelaar- he also has a better click with Afellay, so I can understand it a little.
But Huntelaar has better nose for goals. You saw a similar problem with Van Nistelrooy sometimes. If there wasn't enough depth in the wings he would disappear for whole games.

Van persie seems to be lacking confidence... during WC2010 he also didn't deliver anything.

If you put Kuijt on the right wing instead of Robben he will do what is asked of him, however, you sacrifice some creativity and technical ability.
It is a frustrating puzzle but I would rather see Huntelaar than Van Persie up front. They experimented with Huntelaar as the striker and Van Persie on the wing but it just didn't flow that well.

I am very nervous about this game.

    Midfield is a huge problem.
