Atlanta police will continue searching Thursday for the man who kidnapped a woman and tried, unsuccessfully, to strike again.
The attacks happened Wednesday morning, before sunrise, in East Atlanta around Moreland Avenue.
In the first incident, the man snatched a young woman off of a front porch on Mayson Avenue. The woman's friend, Becca, witnessed the entire ordeal.
"He cut across the lawn and walked right up here (onto the porch). I thought he was going to rob us," said Becca.
Becca said their purses and cell phones were in plain view, but the man was not interested in taking them.
"He appeared to have a gun in the front pocket of the baggy hoodie that he was wearing. He just grabbed her," said Becca.
The man walked her to a car that was parked about a block away.
"He made her get into the trunk of his car and then took off," said Becca.
