Proctor's mother, Shannon Proctor, said her son is "a wonderful person, a hard worker and a great father."
"He's innocent, but he pleaded guilty because he knew nobody would take his word over a police officer," she said.

    Stupid bitch

Unfortunately, some judges live out in la la land.

It is insulting. What kind of quality man is going to be a cop in fvcking Detroit with support like that?

    You should come to Ireland.

Recently a man was convicted of Manslaughter for ramming a stationary patrol car and killing a Garda,
    (police officer).

He was sentenced to 7 years.

After serving less than 2 he was placed in an open prison.
He duly walked out the next day and across the border to Northern Ireland.
Thankfully our colleagues in the Police Service Of Northern Ireland
arrested apprehended him but not before he assaulted one of their
    officers.

If some one shot and killed me on duty in uniform tomorrow and he was arrested, tried and convicted,
He'd serve at the maximum 12 years.

That is truly disgusting. All the best to the Officer, hope he recovers fully.

Lenient? if the perp does his time he'll be leaving prison at the age of 40. The best years of his life behind him with no hope of doing anything much more than remaining a drain on society since i doubt he's going to be getting any kind of skill while in prison other than how to be a better crook.

So whats the consensus here? if your going to go with the straight punishment route and advocate sending him to prison for the rest of his life, just up and execute him. save everyone some trouble.
