Nothing to see here I guess. Russia selling China a carrier, fighter planes, missiles, and damn near everything else, probably doesn't mean they're friends either.
Rubick than adds (just to fully discredit your rant):

So please, do tell me...where is this MILITARY ALLIANCE comparable to NATO.

You may try to nitpick and twist words.

And for all your effort you still haven't explained how I should have known he was referring to the carrier specifically. Also where did I say Russia and China had a military agreement comperable to NATO? I said they were allies, nothing more. Jesus, I thought you were pretending to be smart. How 'bout instead you stop wasting everybody's time with your irrelevant babel?

It's more than that as they have joint military exercises (including the recent one). I don't recall the last time Syria and Saudi Arabia conducted joint military exercises.

Sea Breeze 2012 - US and Ukraine
Malabar 2012 - US and India
Invincible Spirit 2012 - US and South Korea
FRUKUS 2012 - France, Russia, UK and US

Exercises do not necessarily a NATO-style military alliance make.

    Nor do they preclude one.

This whole tangent started because I pointed out why the US wouldn't want to share sensitive information with Russia. It's not my fault certain members want to focus on trivial minutia.

Maybe because YOU brought up the carrier issue? You said they were allies. You brought up the SCO. You brought up military contracts, military cooperation and $hit. I do trust you to miss your target when you fling poo, by a mile at least.

Now what does that mean? I might be pretending to be smart, but you sure do not fake being thick.

Furthermore, I am still here, provide me a treaty stipulating an alliance between China and Russia so that it alters the Russian Defense Paradigm. Looking at the Eastern Military District, sure does look like an alliance.

OMG we've got a spelling Nazi in here too? All we need is someone to mention "plasma stealth" and this thread will be complete.

Let's just cut to the chase and say that Russian marines aren't going to be storming Taiwan or the Senkakus any time soon or, in fact, ever. So if that is the portion of the "military alliance" you are worried about, you can rest easy.

It's actually kinda the opposite. With Russia basically arming the Vietnamese Navy with submarines and frigates, the chance of Russia fighting anyone on behalf of China is close to impossible.

Again with the diversion. Explain how I was suppose to know he was talking about the carrier specifically given that it was but one item in a list. I'll bet it's not even in your character to admit, "uh I fvcked up". Instead, you'll bob and weave and divert and obfuscate hoping people will just get tired of you so you can, "win". Hilarious.

that's not it at all. Going back to the original point, they have a relationship there, which makes it likely that any sensitive missile defense information we give Russia has a pretty good chance of ending up in China.
