Fact is, no matter the history, many jews got a good scientific education in the late USSR which they put to good use in Israel.
Judging from all the ex soviet people I know everybody claims his nationality was treated the worst and all the others were given prefered treatment.

Just FYI, getting a big city residence permit or an exit visa was a pain in the ass for everyone in USSR, regardless of nationality.

In a way, teh juice had kind of an upper hand on exit visas, since they had a big external lobby (US) and got visas for political reasons, while ordinary Russians had no such advantage.

These people carry lots of hard feeling towards USSR/Russia. They are not Russia's envoys.

By the way, in the USSR they had to overcome special quotas in order to get scientific education.

Still, the average education of soviet jews was very high.
All of those I know are university graduates.
Doesn't mean they were given preferential treatment but they definitely took the chances they had.

And when they finally managed to exit USSR, they have no reason to keep good memories of it.

They were usually given strict treatment, but it is an integral part of the culture of the Soviet Jews.

Dude, the relations between Israel and Russia are currently the FRIENDLIEST they have ever been in the entire history of these two countries.

Russian government is full of Jews (though, nobody really cares about their nationality). Israel is full of ex-Soviet immigrants.

And you are trying to tell us here that there is no correlation between these facts? Seriously?

Could be, we don't know that for sure. Manned system hasn't gone obsolete like some people think.

    Very seriously.

The relationship between Israel and Russia are currently the friendliest they have ever been in the entire history of these two countries, because during the 60's-70's they already hit the bottom, and since then Soviet ideology had collapsed.

Was it up to ex-Soviet immigrants, the relationship were worse.

It's actually despite the ex-Soviet immigrants?

So, then why is the relationship so friendly? Is it because Putin is such a fan of Israel?

I guess its only a matter of time until spares run out, and I assume there are no new pilots being trained for it either.

In 2003 they didn't arm Predators with Stingers because they wanted to give Iraq a fighting chance but because there was nothing better available.
The AIM-9X entered service in 2003. I'll concede there were higher priorities (Hornets and Eagles got them first). Still, it's amusing to think about the epic lulz of an unmanned, piston engined, drone shooting down a Mach 3 capable fighter.

It is because ex-Soviet immigrants, as a group, do not affect Israel's foreign policy too much.

The relationships are not friendly. Friendlier than before, but far from being friendly. The main reason (for Israel) is.... money!
