What if I vote Red but don't want to get Red-Green? What if I vote Black-Green but what I actually get is Red-Green?
First of all you would be stupid to want Black-Green because it doesnt work and the people involved cant work together.

Keeping the possible coalition partner in mind is something basic in a proportional voting system.

Yes because in most parties the upper echelon doesnt control most stuff.

Just to dismiss it is quite stupid if it already works for quite some time.

You think they want to abolish it when they say they want to reform it.
But when they say they want a "free" OPNV you believe them.

I meant the Greens, Pirates and Lefts are not really local-patriotic or particularly fond of traditional folklore. The recognised minorities and expellees from Prussia, Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia are traditionally intertwined with the Conservatives.
Last time i checked neither the franconians nor the expellees and their descendents were northerners like the norwegians, swedes or danes. There is also this ugly election map from before the war which shows where some rather evil party had its strongholds.

The SSW is rather close to the scandinavian way and therefore its more logical for them to be in favour of the SPD or Greens.
It just shows that danes are different from sorbs. I dont really see whats so weird about that.

Yeah, it´s so nice that the communists got kicked and the hypocrit, capitalist and lobbyist FDP stays in the parliament...

Acutally, I would take a capitalist, but democratic FDP over a socialist and anti-democratic The Left/SED anytime a day. Wouldn't vote for neither of them though

I'm curious about the election next weekend here in NRW. I still don't know if I should do a protest vote or stay at home and drink coffee

Somehow granted (FDP-Left-issue), but I must admit I currently really don´t know which party I should vote for as a German. Almost all are far from little man´s reality and mostly concerned with their own welfare or either defending or achieving power... You all might flame me, but just for protest I guess I will choose the Piraten.

I am so sick and tired of the political caste in Germany. At first I thought about voting for CDU, but thanks to the cluster**** and non-democratic behavior of the mayor (Oberbürgermeister) and city council of Münster, I sure as hell won't give them my vote anytime soon again.
SPD is no option thanks to Gabriel and Arnold, Greens thanks to "Tritt-ihn", Roth, Künast, Özdemir and Ströbele(!), the FDP thanks to the cluster**** and lobbying after the last federal elections. So I either stay at home and enjoy the day with my girlfriend or I do a protest vote for Pirates or some minor party for trolling (Tierschutzpartei, Christliche Mitte? )

The point is, the VAST MAJORITY of the members of other parties don't know **** either. Someone tells them how to vote and so they do. They just claim to know ... there have been surveys amongst Bundestag members with regards to the Euro-bailout packages. Most of CDU and SPD members of parliament had little clue on which countries it was for and even how much it was.

The second point is, all major parties vote the same on all major issues and claim it is inevitable. If it is so, why should I vote for them? I can vote for anyone, if all they have to to is nod to something inevitable anyway.

I for my part wouldn't vote for these career politicians claiming to know much and in fact knowing little either.

It's become a basic in our parliamentarism system but it was never meant to be that way. Don't forget how we started back in 1949.

All parties with mandates in the current Diet allow a great deal of participation. The upwards permeability of the Pirates remains to be seen, though.

Are you really suggesting that something that works in a small wealthy town will inevitably work in a country with a population of 82 million?

When did you turn to trolling? You used to be far more productive and constructive than that.

I read their program and I posted my very own conclusion.

Don't get so hung up about it. I was just uttering my thoughts. Now that you've mentioned the cultural affiliation with Scandinavia, it makes sense.

Bavaria does pretty fine compared to virtually all other federal states, including Schleswig-Holstein.

Tough call. I'd vote CDU if it wasn't for this faint-hearted asshat Norbert Röttgen. Alas I don't envy you guys. I knew the most important viewpoints of your state's parties before but it's kind of sobering to see them all huddled together.
