Oh and how hard it will strike...
Now that the Greeks have also elected a government which wants to turn over the austerity course we're going to become witnesses of Europe's downfall.

I cannot say I'm unhappy... it means that Sarkozy's been ousted. And with the authoritarian & racistic turn of his regime over the course of the last few weeks; whatever the future brings about, Hollande's election means a victory for democracy.

Congratulations to the French for conducting a fair and democratic election. I hope the policies of the new leadership will prove fruitful. It seems the right wing waive that swept Europe seems to be subsiding it will be interesting to see what future the new initiatives will bring. I’m staying optimistic.

Vive Hollande, vive la dépense publique, vive le déficit et la dette! Plus de fonctionnaires et moins d'emplois industriels!

Because there is a lot to say about deficit, debt and whatnot from the previous presidency
This presidency will be judged on the results
Let's come back and speak about it in 5 years...whatever good or bad arises from it

I don't need 5 years to wait and see the results. The truth is written in Hollande's program : 60,000 more civil servants the first year of presidency. I did not make that up, it's in his political program. Recruiting more civil servants in the middle of the hardest economic crisis ever, while civil servants salaries are being cut by 30% in Spain, salaries held for month in Italy, pensions reduced for the British servants, Hollande has decided to actually SPEND MORE.

While a victory of Sarkozy would have meant the other way around?

According to the left, their democracy is better than the right's.

Yannick Noah, tax evader in Switzerland, will be singing tonight for Francois Hollande's election on the Bastille square in Paris. The hypocrisy of the Left will never cease to amaze me.
