I don't think it would pass the TSA, but the suicide bomber would've probably detonated the bomb at the security checkpoint on the airport.

The bomb had no metal pieces (no metal detector then) and the CIA said they're not sure yet if it could have made it through the full body scanners. It very possibly could have made it through security.

I thought they still used dogs at security checkpoints. Their accurate sense of smell can pick up a lot of chemical components used on the manufacturing of bombs.
