I personally agree that all immigrants should be send back, but this is beyond ridiculous. You have signed the Geneva convention, you would have to first denounce that, then you would probably have to get out of EU since the laws governining immigration would not allow you to do that. Then you would have to spend more than the annual GDP in rounding up the immigrants, housing them, then transporting them to their countries (not to mention ensuring their safety once they are there, unless you will completely disregard that).

The influx of refugees has vastly slowed down. As a matter of fact many are leaving Greece due to the economic situation there. If you want to stop immigration, you punish the businesses that hire them, the landlords that rent houses to them, stop social programs for them, stop scholing for their children and hospitalization. You do that, they will leave ont heir own without the government spending a dime. To top it all you are not breaking any laws (maybe just dancing on the fence).

Absolute lie... completely incorrect. Albanian immigrants that are of Greek origin have been in Greece for over 10 years and can not get their papers, and they can prove Greek origin, forget about the ones that can not. I know personally many examples of these families that have been there for decades, their children are born in Greece and they are still not Greek citizens. Greece is in fact the hardest country in Europe to become a citizen of.

I applied like 5-6 years ago.The moment i got my greek passport the same day i left for Netherlands. That was 5-6 months ago. I stayed as a greek citizen in Greece only for 2 days. I lived as albanian citizen in Greece for 2 decades.

My parents who applied for citizenship before me are still waiting. If they were younger they would have left too but now we have 2 new apartments in Thessalonica and nothing in Albania. Either way they will retire soon.

I don't know about other immigrants groups but most of my friends have left Greece because of the crisis,i hear many Albanians are doing that. Greece does not have to worry much about Albanians.

I checked this with a Greek friend and he says, like others, that you are full of ....

He is Greek, his wife English, and she can't even get a Greek passport even thought they have been married for over nine years.

It might be, that some few rich people can buy a Greek passport, but nowhere near the number you are suggesting.

The recent change in politics will hopefully deport the illegals and investigate and reclaim their finances/properties, even those transfered in Albania. You should be glad in a way that you have a similar culture arriving as immigrants. Take a look at other countries what they have to go through to accommodate and deal with a totally foreign culture. Albanians now are pretty much a fully assimilated part of the Greek society. Albanians have assimilated in every country they migrated. They do no build ghettos and impose self isolation to the host country. And historically speaking many waves of Albanians have entered Greece through the centuries and assimilated. Albanians are leaving Greece in waves but i don't think Greece will become a better place even if the last albanian leaves.
