    Ruhig Blut.

I was joking. You guys are very U.S. in your outlook on many things. That's neither good, nor bad. Just how the Swiss are.

I believe I read somewhere that the US government does not allow dual citizenship if you go into certain jobs that require higher levels of national security clearance.

As far as taxes are concerned, you would not pay income tax on your earned income while living overseas, but you'd certainly pay property taxes on any property you own in your home country, and also taxes on income you'd earned from investments in your home country. Also, I believe the US government now levies taxes on income earned overseas that you bring to the US, which I don't think it happened before.

Ofcourse Switzerland isn't communist or socialist, but look at Bachmanns and her partys standards and then look at the social security in Switzerland...

Just take the universal health care for example - That's something Bachmann is strongly against and even considers highly socialist.

Apparently that just falls under the table when she and her kids can enjoy it...

I did a bit more research and found out, that she didn't naturalize this year. She automaticly was Swiss, when she married her Swiss husband anno 1978. The only thing new, is that now she (and her children) had this registred in Switzerland.

Actually I believe it was announced that he was "probably unlawfully killed". Get it right.

It's a good thing they weren't in North Carolina, it's illegal to marry gays now.

Healthcare. Sure. But when it's about political culture, she is the socialist.

It's always been illegal for gays to marry each other here. Nothing changed yesterday.

Obama is a genius...everyone's playing his game. He gambles on Americans being fools and he's right. This thread was about Michelle who?
