As a member of the burgeoning furry movement (I like to play a wolf) I find this completely unacceptable. I should be able to screw bunnies and squirrels without a worry about what Johnny Law thinks.

Why is it only the tri-state area can turn an island into a sh*thole? The rest of us turn islands into vacation spots.

So to claim that Marriage is a Right, would be a big hono…

I believe that this is not a Civil Rights thing or issue, it is all about a $exual preference, but I would be willing to meet the Homo$exuals halfway and offer them the option of a civil union.

They already have rainbows, and their own parades, what else do they want……….next it will be GET
I will agree with you that marriage isn't a right. I will however say that people deserve equal treatment under the law. You can't treat someone different than someone else under the eyes of the law. If you repeal/ remove all of the "benefits" that hetero$exual marriage brings to a couple, then it will be equal.

I don't really think the term "marriage" is what homo$exuals are looking for. I really think all they are looking for is having the same rights to visit their sick partner and make decisions for them when they are terminal, the same tax advantages, the same property and finance rights that a married couple have.

Once we admit that there is no argument for denying homo$exuals equal rights and protections under the law other than religion, we can finally move on to the truly more important things. Call it a states rights issue, but the argument against it is still based on religion.

-If a man and a woman who aren’t married go to a hotel/motel and register themselves as married then, according to state law, they are legally married.
§ 14‑186. Opposite sexes occupying same bedroom at hotel for immoral purposes; falsely registering as husband and wife.
Any man and woman found occupying the same bedroom in any hotel, public inn or boardinghouse for any immoral purpose, or any man and woman falsely registering as, or otherwise representing themselves to be, husband and wife in any hotel, public inn or boardinghouse, shall be deemed guilty of a Class 2 misdemeanor. (1917, c. 158, s. 2; C.S., s. 4345; 1969, c. 1224, s. 3; 1993, c. 539, s. 120; 1994, Ex. Sess., c. 24, s. 14(c).)

Where does it say they are legally married?

-Organizations may not hold their meetings while the members present are in costume.
No person or persons at least 16 years of age shall while wearing a mask, hood or device whereby the person, face or voice is disguised so as to conceal the identity of the wearer, hold any manner of meeting, or make any demonstration upon the private property of another unless such person or persons shall first obtain from the owner or occupier of the property his or her permission to do so

No person or persons shall in this State, while wearing any mask, hood or device whereby the person, face or voice is disguised so as to conceal the identity of the wearer, enter, or appear upon or within the public property of any municipality or county of the State, or of the State of North Carolina.

Makes a little more sense when the actually laws are read and research the circumstance on which they are applied.

Also, a lot of these laws can be found in all states and to have been drafted in times long gone.

the tyranny of the majority decides to limit and oppress the minority. There is no such thing as a tyranny of minority ( at least in this case). All that the same *** couples want it to have the same marriage rights extended to them. the extension of these tights by no means will limit or oppress the majority (ie. in this case the hetero couples). Therefore your argument about the tyranny of minority is ridiculous.
