I wonder what the rules would be in Germany . . because those are the ones that would apply if it weren't for all those ignorant Americans.

You want to clarify that statement?

He could but we're probably too ignorant to understand it.

I think he was being ironic or sarcastic. I'm usually too dumb to tell the difference.

As Wahnsinn said "He seems completely unaware that we have three legal systems, completely unaware that you can defend yourself in all three and completely unaware of the fact that you could kill somebody in self defence and not be put in prison in all three systems."

If I recall correctly the last "Omg self defence is illegal in Britain" thread went surprisingly quiet when the homeowner wasn't charged with any crime.

Actually you can. There are plenty of self defence classes run legally in the UK.

I'm also slightly confused how self defence laws and communism are related, but then again I'm probably expecting too much loginc from you by asking that question.

There are also Jewish courts. The right of third party arbitration for disputes has been in law here for decades.

So, perceived ignorance is a valid reason to ban him from entering the country?

"The Home Office said he was subject to an exclusion order.
A spokeswoman said: "The home secretary will seek to exclude an individual if she considers that his or her presence in the UK is not conducive to the public good."

    I'm ok with this.

Maybe they should outlaw Jiu Jitsu as well? That's pretty violent? But yeah big surprise it's easy for gov to go for easy targets.

I think it is because he was teaching people how to maim and kill with martial arts and even if it was supposedly to be used in self-defense, these techniques could also be used in aggravated violence.

It's the UK's perogative to do so. Case closed.

I'd kind of like to attend one of his seminars myself though.

So, why was he banned from entering UK then?

Who gives a sh1t if it's UK prerogative to do so? It's Iran's prerogative to kill any muslim who converts to another religion, that doesn't mean we have to keep our mouths shut and suck it up. Same case here. Wrong is wrong, the legal justification used to ban him from entering the UK amounted to nothing more than just a vague concept.

Because someone at the Home Office thinks he's a d1ck, to put it bluntly. We have no requirement to issue a visa. If it's decided we don't really want you in the country then you don't get one.

Why were two British people barred from entering the US over some humerous tweets, or and another for emailing Obama calling him a pr1ck?

Goodness, is it fuvk yeah week allready?

At the risk of gracing a total digkhead with a serious reply:
German self defense law is pretty defender friendly.
People have shot robbers in the back with an illegal firearm and got away with it.

Absolutely right. He teaches a bit more than just kicking a guy in the nuts.
