I don't see what the problem is with this video. He makes a perfectly valid point, wrestling a criminal already on the floor in order to take away his gun is a sure way to get yourself killed. I've seen dozens of cases like that. His demonstrated attacks may be violent, but they're extremely effective. In a situation like this, your life's safety should be your priority, and not the criminal's life.

public opinion delivered by the press will be up on yours and not in a friendly way. If you are are soldier they will tell, that a soldier killed some robber (in the UK probably without a gun). And then your superiors will be up on yours. Just wondering about any regulations regarding UK soldiers and situations like... a pub brawl.

Unless he's teaching some form of telekinetic death ray I can't really see what the issue is apart from the authorities saying no for whatever reason, but most of these techniques have been around for decades, most developed from the techniques Fairbairn and Sykes were teaching back in the 20's and 30s

Our country, our rules. We don't have to let him in. Listening to him on the radio, I wonder how much he really does know about the UK. He seems completely unaware that we have three legal systems, completely unaware that you can defend yourself in all three and completely unaware of the fact that you could kill somebody in self defence and not be put in prison in all three systems. If he went to the effort of actually learning a little bit about self defence laws in the UK then I might actually be inclined to listen to him but he's just another ignorant American who thinks he knows more about our laws than he really does.

It's an embarrassing over-reaction to ban somebody from entering a country solely based on the perception a few people might have of what he does. I mean, he's not a hate preacher or something like that.

The rules are lenient, those who enforce the rules are not. We've seen both sides - self-defence excess that went unpunished and several years in prison for the most obvious self-defence scenarios.
