Unexploded WWII bombs force partial closure of B.C. park
http://www.ctv.ca/CTVNews/Canada/201...C-park-120508/UCLUELET, B.C. — Part of Pacific Rim National Park on the west coast of Vancouver Island has been closed to the public because bombs left over from the Second World War might be buried in the sand. The closure follows the discovery of an unexploded bomb in the Wickaninnish Sand Dunes in February.
Parks Canada says the dunes were used for military practice in the 1940's and 50's before the park was created.
