    Small note, from a military perspective .308 and 30-06 was the same. Issue is not with the round, both rounds have a lot of variation to how they can be loaded, but for the military, it was basically the same. 2700 FPS, 3 grains difference in bullet weight.


    Yes, 30.06/270 is basically the same C-length. M 14 was for the .308, basically a 30-06 short.

    Before you argue, get out a reloading manual.

    Yeah, I remember it now, was something about the way .270 was chambered that was the real dream killer? Still not sure I why about an M1
