We bring The case that was documented by electro-optical system Toplite of an attack helicopter AH-60L Harpy III, which was conducting a mission escorting an UH-60L Black Hawk Helicopter of the Army Aviation, which was delivering supplies to ground troops, who were conducting offensive missions against the narco-terrorists of the FARC.

In the video we can see the helicopter of the Army Aviation, sitting on the ground without incident, then the soldiers proceed unload the supplies and ammunition sent from the helicopter. Few seconds later, the terrorists detonate the explosive device, in an attempt to destroy the aircraft, and kill as many soldiers as possible.

Fortunately, the explosive charge was not in a place where it may cause more damage and was not powerful enough to destroy the aircraft or at least hurt the soldiers on the ground. The Black Hawk, thanks to its robust design was capable of adequately withstand this extreme situation. The pilots with their quick reaction were able to salvage the aircraft and the lives of those who were aboard at the time of the explosion.

After landing the helicopter safely in a forward base of the National Army, the damage caused by the explosion was inspected and it was found easily repairable damage such as replacement of the horizontal stabilizer and minor repairs on the tail rotor.
