Two years ago could you have predicted the Arab Spring?

You mean the 'Arab Spring' that is turning into an 'Islamist Winter' right before our eyes?

Probably not but the media likes to cater to wishful thinking.

    P.S
And Ordie takes the term 'wishful thinking' a bit too far IMHO.

Netanyahu to Abbas: Israeli unity cabinet is a new opportunity for Mideast peace

Netanyahu’s letter to Abbas earlier this week included the first ever pledge by the PM, in an official document, to establish a Palestinian state in line with the two-state solution.

So you are comparing industrial and illustrated societies, proletariats and bourgeoisies fighting for their rights in Europe with Islamists that fire AK's in the general direction of the enemy and plant IED's or car bomb buildings while crying Alluh Hakbar a thousand times while killing other tribes people?

Or you mean that 1848 revolutions brought communism to the world? that's ridicoulous. 1848 brought the EU to the world.

Hardly the same. Have you read "the eighteen brumaire of louis bonaparte"? did you understand thats not the same historic moment nor the same kind of political actors, right?

I post the link to this VERY INTERESTING INTERVIEW given to David Horowitz by Dan Meridor - Deputy PM, Minister in charge of the Intelligence agencies and the Nuclear energy.
Dan Meridor is reputed to be one of the most moderate ministers in Netanyau's cabinet on the Palestinian file (as well as the Iranian).

    - The first of the interview is about Iran. (This part should interest all those who try to understand what is going on between the talks, the sanctions and the military threats).

    - The second part of the interview is about the peace process with Palestinians and the reasons why the peace process is stacked. Meridor also offers a new approach on this issue and I hope his stance would be strengthen in the new board coalition formed with Kadima.

    A good read: http://www.timesofisrael.com/meridor...d-to-the-bomb/

    It's groundhog day.

That's why its important to keep trying for a political solution.
How have the Palestinians specifically taken responsibility for coming to a peaceful resolution?
