    LC-2 Nylon

Weapons were the M16A1 in rifle and autorifleman(clamp on Bipod) role until 1986 when the M249 became the Autorifle. Magazines were 20 rd and 30 rd mixed within units.
    M1911A1 .45 acp Handgun

I believe Germany wore "Moleskin" uniforms between the 60s and 90's and probably an Olive Drab colored uniform like Austria. In 1989 they began testing out camouflage trials which eventually lead to Flecktarn.
For helmets I would assume they used US M1 or copies.
They had snow camo "Schneetarn" (1960's till today)

I don't really know much as far as bags and pouches go, start with the US. West Germany more than likely took what they could get from the West and then added to it, copied it or used it along with their own stuff.

But Border Guards are another story.

I guess they used the same Koppeltragegestell they still issue today, with bags for your folding spade, your gas mask/NBC suit, canteen and one utility bag. And as many G3 mag pouches they could fit on there (2-4?).
