We wouldn't be doing the strikes if that country was capable of ensuring security throughout that entire region. Nevertheless even if that was the case they have entities who sabotage any attempt at securing their own borders. Pakistan had a nice separation of Islam from the cultured class in the 1970s 1980s. Zia ul Haq destroyed that turning the place into a nuthouse. It will never go back to what it was unfortunately.
