Default Names of army snipers found in second-hand car from Leeds garage

DEFENCE officials are investigating how sensitive papers naming 28 soldiers selected for sniper training came to be sold in a used car along with an Army base pass.
The documents, seen by the Yorkshire Post, contain details of servicemen from 10 units including the Yorkshire Regiment’s 3rd Battalion, which is among troops currently in Afghanistan.

Again? Why is that the British forces keep loosing track of sensitive documents? I know for a fact that they lost 2 pen-drives full of classified data in the past 3 years.

Hmmm, which is worse... To forget about sensitive documents in the car or leave them by mistake on the train?

Please. America really needs to keep its own house in order before it goes around slinging mud like that. Need I mention Ames, Hannson or the millions of "cannot be identified because he cannot publically talk about" leaks to the media?

And a few laptops went missing too. But in this case could be the guy had a boot full of rubbish and sundry items he didn't bother cleaning out, or maybe he got someone to sell it while away himself.

In other countries such lists are brought not to mass media but police or army.
I wonder does it happen because of stricter laws or because newspapers outside of Britain have no habit to pay for every bit of news they get.

You know for a fact that two pen drives lost in three years, by an organisation of over 400,000 people, not including civilian contractors/civil servants etc.
