Azerbaijani officials in the past days have officially and openly criticized Iran, something they had not done much in past. The relations has always been "bad", but it has certainly got worse it seems.
The last time they recalled their ambassador was during visit of Shimon Peres to Azerbaijan.
But why did they recall him this time?
Maybe because of statements by Azerbaijani officials.
Foreign ministry said something like this: "We will give adequate response to Iran's anti-Azerbaijan policy, Azerbaijan has independent foreign policy despite Iran's wishes. We warned Iran many times. We told them don’t interfere in our affairs and we also will not interfere in your affairs."
Maybe after these insults to the leadership of Iran and Armenia?
http://www.en.sia.az/index.php?actio...atic_id=223051Several social organizations have held a protest outside the Iranian Embassy of Azerbaijan.
The action was supported by the Youth Organization of the New Azerbaijan Party, Ireli, AGAT and other youth organizations.
Packed up mainly with students, the action involved around 600-800 people. The youths gathering in front of the embassy have demanded the Iranian government to stop supporting Armenia against Azerbaijan.
Slogans such as "Iran, Neighbor or source of threat", "Drop Armenia from your chest", "Without Iran, Armenia's last breath would exhaust", "Shame on the Iranian government" and "Homo****** Iranian mullahs have no place in Azerbaijan" were voiced at the protest.

Although still no official confirmation of this news.
And? There are almost daily demonstrations in Iran against Azerbaijan organized by government.
I think statements of officials could be the main reason behind this, rather than people protesting in front of Iranian embassy.
Do They ? I wonder why Iranian Government will go in such trouble to spite anger for no apparent reason.... something that Baku Government do in daily bases,
Also very sweet diplomatic move accusing Iran and its relations to Armenia , wile they at it they should also protest against Germany France Russia USA .
Without Iran, Armenia's last breath would exhaust"
Nice touch keep it like that !!
Pretty squeezed is not the word for Armenias development which is the higher in the region with out oil ,
With that of ur comment i would like to add the historic background and the population census of it, not to mention of how Naxhichevan is ethnically cleansed, not forget the autonomous region during the CCCP , how that autonomous region became under azeri rule is yet not clear , how they came with that and support by Alyev clan.
Armenia's development are highest in region? Are you talking about a parallel universe? Armenia are at level of countries like Moldova. And since you mention it, even Azerbaijan's non-oil development are much ahead of Armenia.
It is true that Armenia would hardly exist for a second if Iranian mollahs did not support them, this is just plain facts, and the love of mollahs towards Armenia. Azerbaijan doesn't demand such a thing, just plain facts and double-face of mollahs, who declare themselves as "defenders of Islam"...

Go tell that to the Azeri citizens of how rich and better they are , and also facts is not some urban legend you like to believe.
Petroleum production provides 85 percent of Azerbaijan's state budget revenues, accounts for 78 percent of the country's GDP and 92 percent of Azerbaijan's export. In other words, Azerbaijan completely depends on oil revenue in its standoff against Armenia, in military expenditures, in the food import-based welfare of its populace, and in ensuing political stability. The lion's share of oil revenue is provided by one single cluster of three offshore oil fields, Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli, discovered before Azerbaijan’s independence by Soviet geologists in the Caspian Sea. These three platforms presently supply 42 million of Azerbaijan's 50 million tons of annual oil production. Since then, 23 exploration contracts signed with foreign oil companies have failed to find any new oil deposit in Azerbaijan and its sector of the Caspian Sea, presently 3 million of Azerbaijan's 9 million citizens live and work abroad.
I'm talking about real development and not petrodollars in the hands of less 1% elite.
You don't have anything better than quoting a propaganda article, and where is facts in that?
Officially, only 55% of budget are from oil money. State budget are 25 billion USD, and only 55% of it are from oil money. The biggest chunck of oil money goes to the state oil fund (it's assets will pass 100 billion USD soon).
Now in comparision, Armenia's state budget are not more than 2.5 billion USD. Do the math.
Oh and don't worry, newly anounced proven oil reserves are 14 billion barrels and estimated reserves at least double as much. So sleep well at nights.![]()
http://af.*******.com/article/energy...8D25CR20120202 Usifzade put Azerbaijan's proven gas reserves at 2.55 trillion cubic metres (tcm), while total estimated gas reserves were at 3.45 tcm.The country's proven oil reserves are at 2.0 billion tonnes, while total estimated reserves were 5.0 billion tonnes, he said. Reminded that CESD stated in its November 16, 2011 report that the latest forecasting confirm that oil boom in Azerbaijan is doomed to end in a few years. Azerbaijan’s high dependence on oil exports poses a potential threat to the economy given the potential volatility in the international oil market. Oil reserves, however, started decreasing in 2011 and last year was pick in oil production. In long term, decreasing of oil output will cause tax revenues decline and budget deficits increase, driving up interest rates.
ow for my first post here is u propaganda link u asked for http://hir.harvard.edu/azerbaijans-c...flict?page=0,1
Lets just hope Eurovision goes well.
Adding Armenia in the general universal dislike for the Mullhas is very cheap move btw congrats to the man that came up with it!
