I've always wondered why they seem to be "revising job numbers" quite frequently, I wonder if that has anything to do with this.

It's election time so he will do anything and everything to make his Presidency look excellent just to get another 8 years.

Heck, why bother coercing them into changing job loss figures when you can simply create or recreate the definition of "job", "unemployment", "underemployment", and "discouraged worker".

If the numbers don't add up, fiddle with the calculation.
