BAE Systems announced today that the Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System scored its first-ever penetrating guided-rocket shots with the M282 warhead during recent tests at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida.
The tests, deemed successful by U.S. Army and Navy representatives, illustrate the product's exceptional capability to engage targets at close range and penetrate complex targets.

He have armorpircing warhead?
holy crap!
that missile wasn´t even touching the sidewall of the armoured vehicle.
I watched this fullscreen in HD and it seems it hits the massive metal wheel right at the top where it supports the track and it STILL blows through the side armour AND OUT THE OTHER SIDE!
Problem is.. a Hellfire doesn't cost much more.
I dunno about that, a bit of googling and the Hellfire comes out at about $68000 per missile, and the APKWS at a mere $10000. Even if the APKWS doubles in cost, its still the bargain compared to the Hellfire. I know, different specifications and capabilities and all that....., but still.
What was the speed of the warhead? it penetrated the armour like a hot knife through butter !!
