About attacking women I'd agree, it's not that such folks would assault and stuff. But being a male and thinking you're biologically a female is quite.. well.. perverted to say the least.

I don't think predators feel like they need an excuse to go into the wrong bathroom to stalk someone out.
Not allowing transgender people to use the bathroom they feel more comfortable with is not making the world any safer for women.

Men should worry more about taking women back to their place after a drunken night out than worrying about the possibility of being accused of doing something wrong in a unisex bathroom. We heard of those date-rape stories. Maybe we should ban alcohol in bars now to prevent future false accusations? People are accustomed to using stereotypes and wild assumptions without any data backing up their beliefs. Of all the thousands of rapes occurring on college campuses across the country, I've yet to hear of a trend/pattern where jocks dress up as trannies to trick women in bathrooms. A lot of trans people do not get reassignment surgery ever in their lifetime because of access and financial constraints. Male to female trans are (generally?) attracted to hetero males....at least the trans women I know are dating straight/bi males. And perving in bathrooms is already illegal. If sickos are doing that now, then we can't blame gender neutral bathroom proposals.
One of the dorms at Lewis & Clark had unisex bathrooms 25 years ago.... This was for everyone, not just for those with gender identity issues. So I guess I'm kind of ho hum on the issue.
It is interesting though, to try to have a rule that allows full inclusiveness and still be able to have zero tolerance for bad misbehavior. Like LD was saying, males in the current PC environment are guilty until proven innocent. This makes it inherently dangerous for any male (anatomically) to assert his right to use whatever bathroom he feels comfortable in. I guess it would be a good thing to have gender free bathroom policies explicitly stated, so that there will be no misunderstandings.

I didn't day all and neither did any of the others that don't agree with this. You can't say every single dude that feels he's a lady will act appropriately 100% of the time everywhere. There are people like that guy I posted the picture of and much worse out there. Even if they are less that 1/10 of a percent of the tranny population I don't want them in the restroom with my wife and kids! I'm sure there is a large segment of women that don't care for the idea either, do you give a crap about their feelings Min?
