AFIAK there aren`t any documented cases of Jews resisting citizenship... not in Europe or anywhere else.
Jewish immigration from Europe to Israel or anywhere else is hardly comparable to the Palestinian status quo.

Also I hope you took something called the Holocaust into consideration when bringing this as an example.

It has less to do with integration, it has to do with a dystopic view of the hosts and guests.
Well clearly integration won`t work if the host nation doesn`t wish for it to happen... UNRWA`s very existence stems from this fact in regards to the Arab attitude toward the Palestinians.

1-Mhh I see you don't get the basic point of War Refugee status. Holocaust?
2-Was Holocaust around with an almost two millenia long problem of uneasy integration? I guess not. It is OK because that simply proves the dystopic point.
3-Read the status of the UNRWA and see where lies the issue.

Oh pray tell, please explain why Jewish integration failed in Europe.

Culpability also lies with the Palestinians themselves.

Because they were seen as a foreign body. The same is true with these refugees.

Putting the whole of Europe in one basket is misleading to say the least.

Certain countries such as France, Holland and the UK managed to integrate the Jews while others didn`t due to the mentalitity of the indigenous population... Germany and eastern Europe comming to mind.

The reason I brought the Holocaust up is because it was a case of outside intervention in the integration process in W.European countries such as France.

The basic point of war refugees? AFAIK the way they solved the biggest war refugee problem in history (Second World War) was by repatriation and integration. Now since the Palestinians don't have a state to return to (as of yet) I guess that leaves one option for the Palestinians living in Arab countries.

It's pretty clear that the issue lies with the Palestinian "refugee problem" being maintained and nurtured by the Arab states with the help of the U.N.

Maybe the Arab League and the UNRWA should be reminded of the Casablanca Protocol..

Never claimed that the Palestinians were nurtured, it is rather their so called "refugee problem" that is being nurtured but if twisting my words works for you...

How is the problem maintained by the Arab states and the UN? Unless you missed it, the UNRWA is being principally being funded by the US. These people are War Refugees and as such fall under a specific case.

What refugee issue was addressed by the UN outside a repatriation to their former territories?

Please... Jews were seen as the killers of the "natives" religious messiah, money swindlers who steal, conspire to take over the world, use Christian children's blood and assortment of other fun crap.

Palestinians on the other hand, share the same religion with the host countries and the Palestinian plight is enough to get the local masses to the streets, screaming their lungs out that juice will be wiped out, just for the Palestinians. two exceptions are Kuwait, who didn't appreciate the Palestinians support of Saddam Hussien during the Gulf War and Lebanon, where the Palestinians tried to take over by force in the civil war.

How exactly are the Palestinians, who make out the majority of Jordan's population, still feel like outsiders? it's simply absurd that that they still maintian the refugee status, in Jordan.

UNWRA should never had been created in the first place. there is no reason for one group of people to have one (very political) agency looking out for thier refugees and another group looking out for all of the other refugees around the world, with a different definition of who is a refugee.

You don't want to have this discussion with me (and I do not want to piss you off). I appreciate your input and your time so we shall not go into animosity mode.

Besides the political issues, there are financial interests.
UNRWA is mainly funded by the US and the EU states. Most of the salaries of this huge bureaucratic institution are PLO Palestinians. Maintaining the agency is also maintaining their salaries.

That is simply Untrue (for lack of a better word).
