i am definately not an expert but you are not suppose to light anything after sunset right?
i mean Sabbath started after the sunset on the friday right? all the way to the next sunset in saturday.. or am i wrong
Yes, among other things, it is strictly forbidden to light fire between the start of Shabbat, on beginning of Friday evening, and its end on the beginning of Saturday evening. (For the religious practice, the beginning of the evening is right after the sunset with the appearance of 3 first stars in the sky.)
The residents of the community of Yitzhar are practicing the religion in a very strict manner: I would even qualify them as fundamentalists to some degree.
While the majorty of Religious Zionists are Orthodox the people at Yitzhar are considerd Ultra-Orthodox so even among the settlers they are quite 'unique' (for lack of a better word).
Have witnessed settlers throwing stones at the IDF in Hebron although those were rather rare and only occured around the time of the `Beit HaShalom` evacuation.
Yitzhar is well known for being a hub of the `Hilltop Youth` and of their opinions of how Israel should become a theocracy. Though they are Zionists that`s the only good thing I can say about them.
