    Default It's a tad dangerous launching weapons .. etc

    I hope the Pilot managed to eject ,,what looks like a wing pylon fallen off a YF18 Hornet .. and hitting into the Skyhawk

    I am still surprised some people on this forum still don't know about some military mishaps. Maybe I go on youtube too much but I thought the bomb hitting the chase-plane was everywhere.

    I´ve seen it also, maybe to much youtube.

    The accident is usually adscribed to the low pressure created by the wings. I also hope the A-4 pilot made it ...

    It's a tad dangerous launching weapons ..
    Especially if you are on the receiving end

    The F/A-18E/F had a weapons seperation problem IIRC and that's why it's pylons are canted outwards. Anyone has more info?

    The Super Hornet had that issue, this was a plain jane Hornet. I'd have liked to seen a video of the Vigilante ejecting it's bomb pod. Apparently it liked to hang around by the tail in the low-pressure area.

    It must have been fun having a nuke not wanting to separate from the back of your A-5
