I've personnally seen worse before. From U.S. knuckleheads at that. All I can say is thank goodness for the blast walls and "dummy pits". I for once learned to not spurn what I before looked at as excessive safety measures on a range! And refused from that point forward to be anywhere near cooks with ordanence.
Well, at least they know how to throw things.
I'm sure most get it right away, But come on how do people mess up throwing something. Granted I can understand a slip, because not every throw will be perfect.
Also How far and the average guy throw a grenade, because it seems like 20-30 meters. *I'm most likely off*

Seen it done twice, by Americans. Once in Basic, once at unit.
At unit, watched guy get the **** kicked out of him by the safety.
One can be the best thrower but when you're handling a real grenade, especially for first timers, your mind goes crazy.

A huge problem with Afghanis is that the men didn't grow up with sports the way we (at least Americans) did, so, while they can run your ass off hiking through mountains above 10K feet, they're hopeless with things as simple as jumping jacks or throwing a ball. They can't do jumping jacks to save their life, and they throw like girls.
