I bought their membership card, and they closed down all their stores in the northwest. I called their line to cancel my card and was told i had to cancel it at a store. pricks.
Never shop at FYE again. i bought these headphones there for $40 yesterday. after one day, the connector piece broke off INSIDE my laptop. Despite having the headphones, the piece, the reciept and the card i bought it with, the 16 year old "manager" refused to let met exchange it, refund it, hell i even offered to buy $60 ones and pay the difference, thus she would profit. She wouldnt even let me do that. Then she told me "i was probably being stupid and broke it, if its not stolen anyways". When i asked for her name and a number for a customer support representative, she told me to get out and said i was banned from the mall for life. Seriously, some way to treat a customer, sell them items with poor craftsmanship, and then call them stupid and a thief when they want to return it. Dont do any business with this store.
with the way the economy is businesses should go out of their way to keep customers coming back, not refuse to exchange or refund poorly crafted merchandise, accuse them of being a thief and call them stupid. whats worse is FYE has no customer contact hotline. Return policies are unposted, and they will not give you a store managers name or number. Ive been a night manager at a major grocery retailer before... And i never would of thought of treating a customer in such a way. If they had problems with a product, and had their reciept, they would get a refund or a replacement everytime... and never would i think of giving them an attitude. Dont patronize this dump.

most the stores here closed. this is the only one left in western ny. i can see why.
I learned a long time ago not to buy 40 buck headphones, just buy the $10 Sony ones, last longer, great sound.
There is one at my local mall, I've never had a problem with them there but there is this really annoying old guy who always trys to get you to buy something(and no, not his candy either).
i think the most infuriating part of the whole ordeal, is that after the entire argument, the girl had the audacity to ask me if i had signed up for their members card.
Before. And my response was "are you ****ting me?" and i asked for a number to call to talk to someone above her. thats when she said she was banning me for swearing.
Hey asshole, 1) they were made in Korea. 2) find me a set of headphones that are manufactured in America. You wont. I hate the fact that the US has no manufacturing base anymore either. But until the unions are put in place and the Chinese-cheap-labor advantage are gone and it becomes economical to manufacture here again, what choice do i have but to buy foreign goods. i need products.Ah the customer. What, you want them to suck your **** for $20? Good they banned you for life. Next time think twice before buying Chinese commie junk. I do find an irony in your nick. PM a mod, let them change it to china320.
Is the customer always right? no, but sometimes they are, and sometimes its better to take a hit to the bottom line at the moment to make sure a customer keeps coming back, than to be a cheapskate and loose someone who spends money in your store often.
