My mom's boyfriend had these in his garage, war-time bring homes from his Uncle during WW2. The leather helmet appears to be from after WW1 and before WW2, it is also quite tiny so I think it is some sort of youth parade helmet.

The Metal helmet I am pretty sure is some sort of civilian corps, given the name under the helmet. Some sort of air protection thing, it's mostly the second leather helmet that I have no idea what it is...

The leather helmet is a police hat/helmet.
The metal one is a Civilian Air defense corps, at least that's what i deduced from it given my limited German

Do you have any links about the police hat? I am just looking for as much information as I can collect on it and all of the writing is scratched away so I had nothing to google on.

Good find there, Troub...... I hope he keeps those or that you expressed a "don't throw those away" sentiment.

Under the brim of the metal helmet, it looks like a "price control" marking. Highest price, 8 Reichmarks.

He had them tucked away in the garage, I convinced him to bring them inside at least.

Good. It's ironic how stuff gets taken care of for a long time and then suddenly gets thrown away or exposed to the elements by the "next owner".
