    Sending tanks deep inside enemy territory? look like a suicide mission, actually special forces dropped by plane or heli, or air strike are doing this kind of mission.

    It was likely training the IDF to cross the Litani, Suez Canal, and Jordan River in that order. There'd be a lot of Special Forces/air support in such a scenario.

    I don't think they are talking about sending tanks to Entebbe or Teheran....

    In two of the pictures you can see that it is the famous 'roller bridge' which was used during the Yom Kippur War to cross the Suez Canal.

    AFAIK the bridge was being replaced in 2010, I don't know regarding its replacement though.

    That the reason I asked the question, because of its resemblance with the roller bridge. I thought it was retired much longer ago.
