This emotional appeal adds a new dimension to the former Massachusetts governor’s set of three general-election ads, all of which describe what a Romney presidency would be like, starting on Day One.
In the series, the spots have become less specific.
This latest ad, entitled “A Better Day,” first aired this morning in battleground Virginia’s Norfolk market, according to New York-based Kantar Media’s CMAG, a political ad tracker.
As the narrator describes the “feeling” of a Romney presidency, the candidate is shown smiling and looking skyward, then in a diner embracing one of several smiling supporters, then being back-slapped by a supporter as he makes his way to a podium.
Romney’s first general-election ad, titled “Day One,” begins with the announcement that on his first day in office Romney “immediately approves the Keystone Pipeline,” introduces tax cuts and replaces “Obamacare with common-sense health reforms”
