Remote Weapon Stations
I wanted to start a thread dedicated to remote weapon stations. I find them to be very intriguing. I think they are the wave of the future.
I have hundreds of photos and I will post them here. I am really hoping there people here who can post some pictures as well.

IMO, the most impressive RWS is the one mounted on the BMPT "Terminator" AFV.
It's RWS is armed with two 30mm cannons, two 30mm grenade launchers, four Ataka-T ATGM's, one PKT-M Medium MG, and 10 smoke grenade launcher's, with room for additional weapons.
The BMPT is based on the T-72 chassis and is designed to provide support and defense to MBT's against infantry, especially in urban environments.
Thats a nice RWS. The twin 30's is a nice touch.

I don't think the BMP-T turret is truly a RWS, but merely a low profile turret like that of the Marder 1A3. Also, the 30mm grenade launchers are mounted in bow positions front left and right of the driver in the hull, not in the turret.
True... but the gunner still has to fire all the turret mounted weapons through a video optic. Also, didn't know that about the 30mm GLM's, thanks for the info.
True on the video optic part, I guess it falls into the grey area between being classed as a turret or as an RWS. Either way, I agree with you that it is quite an impressive unit with regards to firepower.
Be nice to have at least some idea of what they are rather than just a huge jumble of images, IMHO.....
