Default 150 feared dead as passenger plane crashes into building in Lagos

A plane carrying 153 passengers has crashed into a two-storey building in Lagos, the largest city in Nigeria.

The Dana Air flight was taking passengers from Lagos to Abuja, said Harold Denuren, head of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority.

"It was a Dana (airline) flight out of (the capital) Abuja to Lagos with about 153 people on board," he said. "I don't believe there are any survivors."

Casualty figures were not yet known, said Lagos state emergency manager Femi Oke-Osanyinpolu.

Rip.....Given the gross-overpopulation of the affected area, it's quite amazing that their haven't been report of more casualties on the ground.
    Very sad stuff.

    Rest in Peace.

FYI, this crash comes right after an Allied Air 727 overshot the runway at Accra, Ghana on June 2, with at least 10 dead on the ground. Sad days for African aviation.
