I was taking the GRE that day. I remember coming home and seeing the whole thing boil over on CNN.

Given current world events, very pertinent.

Rest in Peace. The picture of that guy standing in front of the tanks is an iconic one that would be remembered forever.

Is there any knowledge about what happened to him? I read many theories, one which said that he moved to Taiwan, other that he was executed.

The opening stock index on the Shanghai stock exchange today was 64.89 points lower than the day before (or 6.4.89, the date of the massacre)

The opening stock index itself was at 2346.98 points - the date in reverse + 23 years since it took place.

As talking about that day is forbidden in China the censorship authorities immediatelly blocked terms like "Shanghai stock exchange" etc on Weibo (Chinese Twitter) and other online services.

Seems like a major coincidence which probably is very unlikely... or a hacker ^^
