Yeah, I could. In fact, if the S III comes out in the next 30 days, I can return the S II I just bought a few hours ago and get me ducats back. I had to buy a new phone -- so far, this Samsung is pretty neat, but I gotta play with it more.

    Dear Geekdom

I wish to replace my 9600GT video card with something with more punch. However, im only looking at the lower end of the spectrum as my PC is getting a tad old.

Im thinking a 1GB GT430, GT520 or a GT210 or the like. But on the bottom rung of each model.

    Or should i go Radeon....5450 or 6450.

Your thoughts would be appreciated. For the Nvidia models, would a 520 be better than a 430?

Even though, the 520 is newer than the 430, the 430 is faster (not by very much tbh).

Most modern games won't really be playable on larger monitors and higher settings:

    http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/charts...amer,2671.html

    430 23 Frames per second
    520 10 FPS

According to that site, the 9600 GT has 30 FPS, so you would even downgrade your computer...

The 6790 should be a decent and not too expensive improvement:

Thanks, i just found this. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/...ew,3107-7.html

Confirms what you said, both will be a downgrade. I need to go $120 ish plus to make it worthwhile. $120 is 1000 55gr PSP pills for my real gun. I know which way i would go.

Pc is finally back online. Biggest headache of a build yet. If anyone else on here ever goes with water cooling, be careful with the nickel plated EK water blocks. Mine have been corroding/flaking after less than 6 months of use. That's with EK fluid, which has corrosion and bacterial inhibitors in it. Epic fail. Now for some Diablo 3 goodness!

    Thanks for the heads up.

    Don't?!

A gaming laptop is kind of a oxymoron, at least nowadays.

Neverless, a good source to find the right GPU is:

    http://www.notebookcheck.net/Compute...s.13849.0.html

So find a game you want to play, find your screen-resolution and then find a class of GPU with over 40 FPS.

Default MP.net and me (techy iPad question)

I bought a 'new iPad', well, it's not so new now as I have had it since first week of release, but I digress.

Im running it at current iOS release, but I have two problems:

1- home screen (yes, I DO view it from the front screen, as I find the rss feed quite handy), whenever it renders it,there is a 75% chance that the rss portion upon refresh/load up, will produce garbled symbolism sand I will have to hit refresh. Why is this so? Can it be rectified?

2-whenever I log in to make a post, I usually am able to post, but then if I wish to enter a new thread, it will a- either log me out, or, b- cause my whole web browser to crash to desktop

3- whenever I type a message, the web page has a tendency to scroll down for some reason.

4- as with this post, no cursor is present.

I realise that these are four questions, but I thought of the last two as I was making this post, and as I can see no cursor, I am unable to select the erroneous text in question to alter it to read four.

    Please help!

Any assistance rendered, will be greatly appreciated.

And no jabs at my 'new iPad'. I want to be a yuppie at least once in my life.

Looks like the Galaxy S3 is getting released this month on Sprint and others, makes my life a bit easier as far as choosing a final phone. If Motorola doesn't come up with a sizable Photon successor, then it will be HTC or Sammy.

You can take that 2K and build a top of the line gaming rig. Don't waste your money on something you can't upgrade down the road.

Thinking about buying a TrackIR 5 kit and Logitech G940 Flight System to properly get into DCS A-10 (and other Flight sims). It's about $900 bucks with of kit here though so I want to do my homework.

Thoughts? Recommendations? I've read about the Warthog Flight Controls for DCS A-10 but I'd like to play other flight sims as well.

EDIT: Actually looking at the Warthog stick it looks perfectly usable for other flight sims, and awesome at the same time.

    Go Saitek. Logitech is overrated.
