In a constantly shifting battle space, Data Link Solutions with Link 16 capability keep coalition warfighters operating as one prepared and aware force. This combat scenario video demonstrates how our products help warfighters accomplish their mission and safely returning to base. All elements are connected to the Link 16 network using technology provided by Data Link Solutions -- the DLS MIDS-LVT, MIDS-LVT2, MIDS JTRS, MIDS-FDL, MIDS-on-Ship and URC-138.
I don't work for them. Just thought this was interesting.

I always appreciate your posts, I hope you know this.
I have never heard "Link 16" more in my entire life than i have in the last 8 minutes
I definitely do, sir.
I seem to remember a few years back (under Gates or Rumsfeld), a different term was really popular within the DOD community. I think it was "transformational" maybe. Everything being pitched to the military was "transformational" at the time. I couldn't always see how it applied.
I was watching some show on the history channel about a group that does gun builds and such and had a rage face for about 15 minutes because they just couldn't say "warfighter" enough times![]()
I always hated maintaining Link-16 systems. Never worked as advertised.
i ate this up. there were some pretty great techno-terms in this video.
i love the aesthetic of modular military communication systems. so many hugely over-engineered connector standards, all done up in a nice beige.
