    Yuck. One of my oldest friend's is an alcoholic and drinks Scoresby's all the time...He called me yesterday on his way to the emergency room because he's been throwing up constantly and his sides hurt and stuff. He told me he'd call me back if it was nothing so I'm guessing he had surgery or something right now.

    Be careful with that stuff, TT.

    haha. I drink. TT's a little crazy though, so he should probably take it easy with the whisky.

    It's all a matter of taste but personally;

    in order: Jonnie Blue Label>Laphroaig>Jonnie Green Label>Highland Park>Glendfiddich 12 y/o>Jonnie Red

    There's beautiful bourbons out there like Knob Creek and Elijah Craic but Bourbons a bit to sweet for me. Not that I'm drinking at the moment.

    Pancreatitis by the sounds of it. I had a pancreatic attack which hurt like all hell sent fvckery (pain is second to childbirth apparently or something, didn't know they had a rating for pain) got told to stop drinking quicksmart and stay off it for a long time. Wasn'y full blown pancreatitis, just my body setting off the klaxons that's you're about to do yourself in.

    That's what he was thinking. I like me some whisky, but pickling your internal organs in it all day is a sure way to kill yourself. I just drink the cheap stuff, I can't justify spending double or triple for the same alcohol content.

    here here with whisky, the best drink created, bless those Scott's.

    One can go on a bender all night, drinking all sorts of stuff, but on the home stretch it's always good to finish with a couple on the rocks.

    Whisky is for drinking , not collecting and anyone daft enough to pay ridiculous prices for "special editions" is a good example of evolution in action. Talisker, Springbank, Lagavulin, Highland Park and Glenmorangie are my favouite tipples but the bottles are treated as disposable items, not idols of reverence!

    No, it isn't. Jack Daniels is a sour mash Tennessee whiskey. Bourbon is bourbon.

    Personally, I don't collect booze, I drink it. That being said of scotches, I like Lagavulin & Glenfiddich. Of the Irish whiskies my favorite is Bushmills Black Bush. Of bourbons, I tend toward Maker's Mark, Knob Creek or Bulleit. For rum, Pyrat is my sipping favorite.

    I like trying all different kinds. Maker's is my go-to, but it gives me an almighty hangover.
