Seriously - wtf. Just how is it possible that they dont know potatoes and tomatoes? It what their favorite food is made from. And they are being shown on packages, so even if they only eat fast food, they are supposed to know how this 2 looks like.
Is this a real trend?

Kids are stupid nowadays... I think years ago they asked children in Berlin and other big cities where the milk comes from... and a big part answered "from the factory" and did not know anything about cows and stuff... ^^
Of course its their parents fault.. but probably more because of lazyness and not so much stupidity in most cases.
In the end though the kids end up like that...
You know how these videos are done?
You deliberately pick the most stupid looking kids you see and ask them, if one of them turns out to be actually knowing stuff you cut them out.
I did it a few times in an internship in the late 90s, we always had to cut out more than half, even if we concentrated on the "krass Alder" types.
And who knows maybe today's kids even deliberately give outrageous answers in hope of youtube fame?
people dont cook, and when cook uses processed food, so most of the people really dont know what they eat. Down here people mostly know, people here cook a lot, but uses too much processed food anyway.
Some sensationalism, some good montage and probably a lot of unhealthy practices. The fact the kids are giving wrong answers is not really an issue. What is an issue is that people are actually taking the piss about names.
What good is it to know what the name is when you actually do not eat the said produce in any healthy form. No ketchup is not a healthy way to consume tomatoes.
Crazy, stuff like this is part of general knowledge and should be included in schools.
Well, at least here it was.
I believe everything I see on TV.
