    I'd agree with his premise, to an extent. There is certainly a stubborn refusal to accept the extent of the economic troubles and shifting global power in parts US. I'd argue that most developed European nations have a similar blinkered attitude. I don't think that it's as widespread or militant as the author implies though.

    Whether the US dollar will be replaced, I honestly couldn't say for sure.

    I would say it is widespread, especially with the assistance of most of the media. I am not sure that 'militant' was implied by the author. I would say 'obdurate'.

    The dollar is and has been loosing its exclusivity as the reserve currency of choice. 'Replacement' implies some other currency would rise to become dominant over all others. I would instead say that it is likely there will be several reserve currencies on more or less equal footing, the dollar being only one of them.
