    Arrow Big kitty!

I looked out my kitchen window just now, and I saw a big kinda brown-orange kitty sitting on some sections of logs over by my satellite dish. It seemed oddly large, tall and out of proportion, but I figured it must be a Maine Coon. So I stuck my head out the door and said, "I see a kitty! Here, kitty!" It looked at me, turned, nonchalantly jumped off the log and trotted away. It was then, seeing it in profile and from the back, that I realized that it was a freakin' bobcat. It did not seem especially scared of me. Good thing it did not come when I called it.

Give it tuna or he'll break into your house and take it.

Bobcats are normally not aggressive with humans. This one had to be less than 30 pounds. It was very lean and graceful, actually.

There is a lot of debate whether bobcats and lynx are part of the same subspecies or not. But no, it was not a lynx.

    Fear overrules logic once again....

I am making chili, and I had to go out to the trashcan and toss a bag of fat trimmings left after a cubed out a three pound chuck roast. I know that bobcats fear people. I know that thing must be far away by now. But yes, went I did the short walk out the can I was clutching my Glock, and my head was on a swivel.

I have seen mice, rabbits, squirrels, deer, raccoons, skunks, owls, a black bear and now a bobcat on my property. It is a regular Wild Kingdom out here.

Nope, no snakes. The ones around here are harmless, anyways. I wish I had some that were big enough to live under my house and eat the goddamn mice.

Wait, what? You want a snake to live in your house? Those thing crawl and make 'SssSssssss...' noise, also there could be a chance that some are poisonous.

I hate snake, ever since I encountered one as a kid.
