..............Eloquently stated, indeed.
I looked out my kitchen window just now, and I saw a big kinda brown-orange kitty sitting on some sections of logs over by my satellite dish. It seemed oddly large, tall and out of proportion, but I figured it must be a Maine Coon. So I stuck my head out the door and said, "I see a kitty! Here, kitty!" It looked at me, turned, nonchalantly jumped off the log and trotted away. It was then, seeing it in profile and from the back, that I realized that it was a freakin' bobcat. It did not seem especially scared of me. Good thing it did not come when I called it.![]()

See the 6:00 mark....sure it wasn't that?![]()
I'm glad you're still alive, Ought Six. No joke.
A story of your life! Now you can share it with your grandchildren.
Give it tuna or he'll break into your house and take it.
Fear overrules logic once again....
I am making chili, and I had to go out to the trashcan and toss a bag of fat trimmings left after a cubed out a three pound chuck roast. I know that bobcats fear people. I know that thing must be far away by now. But yes, went I did the short walk out the can I was clutching my Glock, and my head was on a swivel.
I have seen mice, rabbits, squirrels, deer, raccoons, skunks, owls, a black bear and now a bobcat on my property. It is a regular Wild Kingdom out here.
What about a snake? Have you ever seen a snake?
I had 2 diamondbacks in my backyard Thursday afternoon when I got home from work... stupid ****ers are everywhere... it's either them or the sidewinders, and I can't shoot either of em in city limits grrrr.
