Default U.S. Military to Rescind Policy Banning Bibles at Hospital

U.S. Military to Rescind Policy Banning Bibles at Hospital
Walter Reed National Military Medical Center said they are rescinding a policy that prohibits family members of wounded military troops from bringing Bibles or any religious reading materials to their loved ones.

The decision to rescind the ban on Bibles came exactly one day after a Republican lawmaker denounced the policy on the House floor and called on President Obama to publicly renounce the military policy.

I don't believe the DOD would come up with this scheme themselves. There is little doubt this almost became another front on the war against Christians by Barack Hussein Obama.

I like the emphasis on bibles in the story, even though it's hidden away the "all religious materials" bit.

Yeah the story has been modified to appeal to the more vulnerable folk amongst us.

The first sentence of the story states "bibles or any religious reading materials". Whats your issue?

More importantly, who told the military to put this into effect. The DoD never had an issue with religious materials in hospitals until now. This is part of Obama's political ideology.

Bibles are "religious reading materials". The fact the article highlights the Bible when infact the policy affected all religions is rather telling.

You could very well argue that the policy was anti religious, but it doesn't indicate a war on Christians alone.

Yeah, but you would want to be a fairly radical christian (or radical something) to deny for instance a sick or dying muslim the Koran.
Similarly it was fvcked in the head to deny succour of a bible to those that will benefit from it. Some fairly sad and small people out there.
Many people want to remove all Crosses and Christmas trees from hospitals as well - must be some possessed people out there to receive pain from a cross

The VAST majority of people affected by these sorts of bans are Christians. Argue it any way you want, but Obama is making himself known.

Yes, the VAST majority of any US military who might have "religious reading material" are Christian. Astonishing isn't it?

That doesn't make it an anti Christian policy. It affects Jewish, Muslim and Sikh servicemen/women all the same.

I'd agree it was a short sighted, pointless and divisive policy, but it isn't a war on Christians.

Matters little if President Obama gets the the punt not one leader will stand up to the onward march of secularization as it chips away at christian symbolism in US institutions.

A gradual walk towards secularization is different than having it force marched into our lives.

Yeah, because values and morals are so old-fashioned. Fvck those psychotic old geezers who founded this country. What were they thinking?
