    Yeap but at that time they were BOARs (much like the one below without photoshop) rather than piglets



    European Megafauna was still not yet fully extinct during early antiquity and you still had rather huge sized animals (bears, aurochs, boars etc)
    Now our mammals are pretty much dwarved in regard of their past size

    and when you think that Odyseus and his kin were hunting boars with only a spear and a knife
