Yeah man if Zimbabwe went to the moon instead it would have totally saved them.

You realize some big ideas are never practical like the flying car,VTOL Submarine, rocket tap shoes or solar powered night vision goggles. The only thing that really caught on for some reason was the white crayon.

Get out there and crack that whip then, I guess its up to people like us to stop making a living selling cell phone cases to feed their baby. Rather they should go to their garden shed to work on that lawnmower warp drive.

    Yeah I patented that.

I ain't saying that my man, I'm saying that dreaming big is what makes progress. Starting huge projects, such as the LHC, the Apollo program, building nuclear fkn submarines (which were thought to be impossible btw) and so on, inspire the next generation to dream big as well and make progress. I'm not saying that we need to fund impractical projects (even tho I'm sure that the technologly exists), I say we need to fund projects that will benefit the future generations. Without a proper space program, humanity will vanish from existence within 200-300 years as, at the very least, an advanced civilization.

Also, everything you mentioned is possible to build, the question is wether it is practical. For example the solar powered NVGs, ofc you can build them, but the damn solar panel will need to be carried by a truck. Space mining and exploration on the other hand, even tho incredibly expensive, will pour litteraly trillions of dollars into your failing economy.
