Just wait for the 2012 election shenanigans...going to make Holder's fiasco and the SCOTUS actions look tame in comparison.
Worth the long read:

Thanks Lac, I heard about that article but hadn't read it yet...
Sounds like it was a lot more convoluted than it's being portrayed...
I learned a lot reading it. If the AG and the WH were really not knowledgeable of F&F, why all the handwringing about the requests from the House & Senate?
I'm hoping the IG report that comes out answers a bunch of these questions. But if you're building a case and the USAO is not indicting your case or even taking them, there's not much you can do.
Does it sound plausible administratively? I mean as someone familiar with the way things are being done with no agency head etc...I know you've complained about that for several years...
I hear that tinfoil arguement alot. Same with the one about this being a ReThuglican racist hit on Obama and Holder. Dont buy either of them as true.
All the hold ups, double talk and tomfoolery coming from the WH about this subject. Doesnt paint a good picture, even if everything turns out to be up and up.
Hands down, one of the worst US Admins i can remember.
For what? Being a big meanie? The one to blame here is Holder. All he had to do was turn over the documents. Sounds to me that the Democrats think that since Obamacare was ruled on that they have carte blanche to do whatever the hell they want and it won't come back to bite them.
At the same time, wasn't the President spending time in border states talking about gun laws? Calderon's repeated comments on the matter, and the repeated (and false) "90% of guns in Mexico..." meme were still in wide circulation at the time as well. The ATF operation probably wasn't some grand conspiracy (I believe it was you that said something to the effect of "why assume malfeasance when stupidity will do?"), but it certainly looks like the Administration attempted to make political hay of the matter.
