Holder should be hanged. It will be interesting to see the spin if the vote goes through. GB fault or a racist nation of hicks.

now that his butt is on the line his conviction and arguments seem to matter less.Facing a possible contempt vote by a House committee, Attorney General Eric Holder on Thursday offered to release more records of a botched gun probe and proposed a quick face-to-face meeting with the committee's chairman. In a two-page letter to Rep. Darrell Issa, Holder promised to provide documents he has so far refused to turn over, arguing they were outside the scope of the committee's investigation of the "Fast and Furious" firearms probe. The offer follows a decision by Issa, the chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, to narrow the committee's request to exclude sensitive law enforcement information relating to the investigation.
Holder called his offer "an extraordinary accommodation of the committee's interest" and urged Issa to meet with him by Monday.
I have waited a long long time for this. I'm glad that Holder is finally getting the attention he deserves. When I express my rage about Holder, all of my friends have no idea who I'm talking about. But now, people know who he is and is the biggest hack in the White House.

The more I see, the more I doubt that the Repubs in Congress, much less the Dems are going to make a serious effort to bring down Holder, much less Obama over the 'Fast and Furious' scandal. The Repubs control the House, and if they were serious about it, they would have pushed a contempt vote months ago. Now it is getting closer and closer to the election, and they are still dragging their feet. They will never get the necessary document to investigate who knew what before the election. They have, IMO, purposely dropped the ball on this. I can see no other explanation that makes sense.
What could their motivation be for that? I'd think if anything they'd want to focus on things like this and Obama's recent end-run on the Dream Act (out of work Americans should just LOVE that) and just pound on him relentlessly. On the other hand, maybe they worry about distracting from the bigger issue - the economy.
I have no idea what their motives are. They are doing an equally crappy job of nailing down Obama for what he has done to the economy and the debt. Their criticism of his 'DREAM Act' end-run is also weak at best. It is pathetic. I could believe it if it was just Romney running an incompetent campaign, but Issa, Bohner and others are not just failing to be effective; they are totally wimping out. It is across the board. I see no Repubs standing up and sticking it to The One the way they need to in order to win. Obama's own Dems have done far more damage to him than his Repub opponents and enemies. Something sure appears to be up, and it stinks like hell.
Simple explanation - the parties are more or less in cahoots with each other. It doesn't matter whether you're from the legislative, the executive, or hell, possibly even the judicial. It doesn't matter whether you have an R in front of your name or a D. Nearly everyone who gets to the federal government ends up way richer than when they began. Why is that? That is your answer.
What the hell is that supposed to mean? Are you implying that the vast majority of federal employees are doing illegal, unethical or immoral acts to pad their own pockets? Nearly no one who gets to the federal government is doing any sort of worthy work and just taking money from others?
