An IDF officer has been suspended over a video showing him throwing stones, firing at the ground in response to a violent attack.

If someone here is going to claim that rocks are not life threatening I will piss on their balcony.

Infuriating as it is for me, it's hardly surprising he was suspended. The amount of self-confidence these f*ckheads have to approach troops so close just goes to show that they know the odds of them getting hurt are slim.

I think if IDF soldiers were really firing on Palis with intent to do bodily harm, we would be talking about seriously wounded or dead Palis here. We are not, so I assume the IDF was firing warning shots to try and scare off the rock-throwing d1ckheads.

I think he was not suspended for what he did, but for not reporting the incident to his superiors who discovered that there was an incident after the vid was put online by the activists.

The army is claiming he violated his ROE by using live fire. I say, give him a shalshoosh, not a suspension.

Area where the pali's and their buddies have succeeded is pressuring the government to tie the security forces hands. IDF used to have a helicopter that shot rocks back at stone-throwers during the 1st Intifada, now it punishes good men for defending themselves.

Oh ffs, he violated the ROE, he should get suspended he is a fracking officer. How do you expect grunts to follow the ROE if their officers don't?

As a side note, if it was up to me I would have deployed snipers and shot every SOB with a camera and their director...

Maybe you should come over for a week or two and show us how it's done?

The sacrifices they have to make to keep looking from being scapegoated by the world media. What is the ROE if we can know?
