You know when Marx talked about "opiate of the masses" he wasn't talking about actual drugs.
Anyway, I'm pro-legalization, but if it was only attempted to score points for an election, it would be debased by becoming a partisan issue. Besides, I suspect it wouldn't even pass.

Which one of the state laws will trump where MJ sits on the Federal Schedule 1 controlled substance list?

    Genesis 1:29-30

    New International Version (NIV)

29 Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food

    You right man.

Ah. The "God made it so it's okay" defense. Yeah, never seen that work in an actual court.

I personally think legalizing pot is a bad idea. However, if they are going to make it legal (and I think w/i 5-7 years it probably will be), it will have to start at the Federal level. States can't pass a law that contradicts Federal law.

You've never seen me work my magic

I think the country currently has bigger priorities than legalizing weed, maybe that's just you and I being old fuddy duddies though.

Decriminalization is the important step in my opinion.

Yeah right. Wont work. Most potheads I know are pissed off at him for doing very little about the issue. People viewed him as "pro-pot" because of his history with it and a few statements he made but after the election he's like "meh, not important enough". He can try to "evolve" his stance like he did with gay marriage or whatever but it would be obvious BS.

That's a pretty funny video. Is any of that stuff true? Racing around mountain roads while hotboxing a Bongo van? haha. Now he's running the administration who's DEA just shut down a dispensary I used to frequent. Oh, the irony.

Personally, I'm stuck on the definition of impairment issue......how do you legally define impairment with cannabis?

They figure that out and they figure out regulatory side of the house and we are going to have legal weed.

And I think it all boils down to one thing:

It's another indicator of the severity of Great Depression 2.0

    Just like the repeal of Prohibition........it turns a cost(LE/Justice/Incarceration) into a revenue(tax).

    "Shazam!

I just reduced US government costs by a zillion.

I just increased US government revenue by a trillion.

I just defeated the Narco terrorists.

You little people clean up the mess and sort out the details.....Look! Something shiny over there! I gotta go fly over and sh!t on it!"

^^^^^^At least that's what the Politicians will have us believe
