Celebrating their reformation from the USSR was a primary reason for displaying Soviet symbols for many of them.

You confuse Europe with EU. For you, Poland was not in Europe before 2004. Pretty nice comment. Likewise, countries like Serbia, Montenegro, etc. don't belong to Europe. Go to Serbia and tell these people they are not in Europe.

Sure. Try displaying Ku-Klux-Klan's or al-Qaeda's symbols in the USA. You will see what will happen. As Spain is in Europe, you can always go to Madrid and try displaying AQ's symbols demanding your freedom.
Germany belongs to EU. Try displaying any Nazi symbols in Germany and you will see how well the police will be protecting you
I know China does not fall into your category but you can go to China and try displaying Kempeitai's symbols. Are you sure all parts of your body would be found after that? You are just a free man and you would expect the Chinese to be tolerant.

In my opinion, "platoon" is something organized, trained and uses tactics. None of these conditions were present. That's my point.

Have you read official statement of Polish Police? I have linked it in this thread. Official report says:

    1. No Russians outside nationalistic march were attacked. All attacked were young males who did this march.
    2. Only 2 (TWO) Russians were injured while around 170 Poles were arrested.

These videos look violent but in reality no one was seriously hurt and just TWO Russians needed first aid.
And that march was pure provocation for Poles. Especially because it wasn't football march but it was nationalistic march to commemorate Russia Day!

Well it'a a one big lie! And you know it.

UEFA have fined Russian football federation 3 times because of incidents started by Russian hooligans.
Russian representation - 3 matches, 3 fines. Every match with Russian team caused fine for behavior of Russian hooligans. Russian's fines exceeded 180 thousands Euro. Federation was fined because Russian hooligans were throwing flares, presenting forbidden banners and crying racists insults. Also Russian federation can be fined with decreasing number of points by 6 during EURO 2016 qualifications.
Russia are the only one team fined during EURO. Probably the only one fined 3 times during 3 matches ever.
