Because they pursue discriminatory policies towards Russian-speaking population. The only countries in Europe (and maybe in whole world) where non-native population don't have full rights by law.

Good news is that 76% believe in rapprochement between Russia and West! I guess AlexMartin2 belongs in those 13% of village idiots that think it would be good idea to Russia distance itself from the West .

Why the hate of Lithuania then? They don't have any policies (citizenship issues) towards their Russian-speaking population contrary to Latvia and Estonia.

I dont really know that much myself, but there are multiple cases like the Koreans in japan in 50's.

Also you are bit oversimplifying the situation. Im not totally sure, but doubt many of those who dont have neither russian or estonian citizenship want to be estonian. As I understand it, they can get either one quite easily being, though i agree requiring language test is wrong.

If I'm correct about your previous posts in the past, you are very critical of Russia so I can easily assume you would belong in the % of people who would vote against good ties with Russia. So I wouldn't be pointing fingers. Alex is quite moderate.

Naming case. People are too lazy/don't care who exactly did what "there". It's not Latvia/Lithuania/Estonia, but just "Baltics who worship fascists", in a nutshell.

I don't have a ball in this game but I would like to know why you think that requiring a language test is wrong? Quite many countries use it in their naturalization process and it's not like you have to be fluent to pass it, it's enough if you can get trough normal every day stuff.

    A few observations.
    1. Summing up the percentages of the respondents gives 150% for enemies and 108% for friends.
    2. Ignoring the fishy way in which the data is presented, it still shows that Russians perceive enemies with more easy than friends (a biased mentality).
    3. Except for US, all the other enemies are small counties at Russia's borders, countries that were part of USSR and that try to be independent of Russia's influence at the present. They do not pose a danger to Russia per say, they are enemies just because they don't do what Russia wants them to do (again, shows the mentality of the people who answered).
